DVD Video

 Multi-scenario
Multi-scenario is basically where the DVD can store the process of development of several stories and trailers that can be shown at the start of the film or even at the end of the film.
Multi-language in a DVD can set to be what language you want the film to in, this involves mainly around 8 different language.

(Parent lock) This function can protect  the plot and scenes that are not suitable for children under a certain age.A DVD has a copyright protection which is set by the region code and also the copyright measures.
DVD stands for digital video disc, it can not only store a video program it can also store music and data with increased use.

It will then be called a CD-ROM which is called digital versatile disc.
DVD-R was the first recording DVD format which was released with the DVD, also it is a non rewrite able format. DVD-R supports a single side 4gb memory.

Their are 4 different DVD sizes such as the DVD-5 which holds about 4.3 gib, which is also called the single sided layered DVD. This is the most common DVD media.

The other sizes of the DVD's allows the disc to hold much more (GIB) than the standard one. They just get an upgrade of memory to hold more video programs on it.
Digital video is made up of series of digital bitmap images which are displayed in a quick speed which stays at a constant rate.

Every frame for the images it goes at a faster speed than pixels, pixels are represented  by a fixed number of colour bits.

The more bits the more varieties of colours can be produced, this is called colour depth.
Contrast in video editing is cutting between two or more different scenes to highlight the contrast between both of the scenes.

For example having a poor family then cutting straight to a rich family is to make a difference more apparent.Parallelism is connecting two different scenes, by doing this you are cutting them and focusing on the parallel features of the scenes.

If you were filming a documentary chickens stock, you could cut to the chickens in the farm and then cut to a family eating the chicken. Then it draws the attention of chicken. Symbolism also know as intercutting which allows you to move from an main scene to another scene to create a symbolic connection towards the audience :like or example cut to a scene of people working how are on strike and then cut to the police stopping the strikers and then cut to animals getting slaughtered, then the viewers think that the animals and the strikers are related to each other.

DVD can store the process of development of  up to 8 or 7 stories and trailers/ video's that can be shown at the start of the film or even at the end of the film.

Interactive media, which allows the user to control and charge of elements of the media.
Hypermedia, linked elements of media which navigates and helps the user.

DVD menu are created with software, Dvd studio pro is one of the examples, using a DVD menu allows the person to select and play the film for example, and also the control to change the language and volume settings.

Button functions in a DVD menu are to link a certain part of the DVD to another part of the DVD. The menu will have still images or pictures as a background, also animations could be used to do this.

The DVD content can be protected with 'Marco Vision'.

Digital video can be used for many things such as advertising such as for films and video trailers.

Story

Genre – Horror
Location – Dark/After hours at college
Main character – Dave

-- Very suspenseful --
-- Full of Jump scares/ False Scares --

Dave comes back from the toilet to find that his classroom is empty and his classmates are nowhere to be seen. He starts to look for them but them realises that the college is locked and he cannot get out. On the whiteboard HELP is mysteriously written. Scared by this is backs away. A force then knocks down a file. He picks it up and folds it into his pocket, as it looks important. He then tries to find a way out. He walks to the college entrance. A shadowy figure catches his eye. He quickly looks in the direction of the figure. It is nowhere to be seen. Slightly jumpy Dave tries the front door but it is locked. Trying to figure out how to get out, Dave thinks of trying to find a key or an electric switch in the office. The office is dusty and looks as though no one has been in there for years. The power is off. There is no electricity in the college. A loud crash comes from the office door. Dave turns to look in the direction of the noise. As he turns around, we see the shadowy figure behind him but Dave does not notice. Scared from the loud crash Dave comes out of the office and walks quickly to the exit to see if he can smash his way through. As he comes to the doors he sees the shadowy figure on the other side. Backing away from the figure Dave trips. He looks up at where he saw the figure. It’s gone. He gets up and turns around. The figure is only a few meters from him.
Dave runs past in terror and heads upstairs and run in through the nearest door. He presses himself up against the door. The figure bangs and pushes against the door. Dave fights to keep it closed. The banging stops and through the wired glass he sees the figure walk away. Dave grabs all the tables and chairs in the room and blocks the door. He now doesn’t know what to do. Pacing and sitting with his head in his hands he looks up and out through the window to see the shadowy figure on the walk way creepily waving at him. Dave, in terror, drops to the floor and puts his head between his knees. He comes up from the floor and slowly looks out at the walkway. The figure is gone. He stands up and starts to back away but still looking out through the window. The figure then appears behind him. Dave runs for the door and tries to move the barricade as fast as he can while the figure is walking slowly towards him. Dave finally manages to get through the door as the figure grabs him. He fights it off and starts running down the walkway.
Running out of breath Dave stops for a moment. He sees that the figure has torn his shirt and has cut him. He looks around not knowing where to go. There’s a glow at the end of the hall. Walking towards the glow he sees that it is a computer monitor. Thinking the power has come back on he tries a light switch. The light doesn’t come on. He continues to walk towards the computer.
On the computer screen is a news report on Newport Campus titled “50 students dead Murderer now locked in on Campus.” Dave then runs out the room. As he is running down the hall he previously walked down, the file he first picked up is knocked out of his hand by some kind of force. The file is dragged away from him and down some stairs. Determined to find out what is going on he runs after the file, but as he gets to the stairs he sees the shadowy figure at the bottom holding the file. A stronger force knocks Dave to the floor. He scrambles to get to his feet and runs to the nearest room.
He blocks the door with a cabinet and sits in the corner. Unknown to him he finds the file in his own hands. Confused, freighted and curious he slowly slides a single piece of paper out of the file to find his picture paper clipped onto it. He reads in the description “Dave suffers from hallucinations and has killed over 50 students. He is now locked in Newport Campus by quick action and last minuet effort.
Dave then runs out of the door and down to the entrance. He breaks down the entrance door and runs to a car. Dave gets in the car and searches round for the keys. As he bends down to get the keys we see the figure sat in the back. The camera then moves away from the car and we see the light in the car suddenly turn off.

THE END!
